Fund Accountant - Private Equity

About the role

JCW is partnering with a growing technology-focused private equity/venture capital fund to identify a Fund Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers exposure to fund management company operations, including management fee calculations and compensation accounting. This is an on-site role based in New York, offering the opportunity to gain specialized experience within a dynamic, tech-focused investment platform. Responsibilities: Support management company accounting, including monthly/quarterly close, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting Assist with management fee calculations and billing across fund vehicles Support compensation accounting, including bonus accruals, carried interest allocations, and payroll-related entries Prepare management company financial statements and support budget-to-actual analysis Assist with expense allocations between the management company and fund entities Qualifications: 2-4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to private equity, venture capital, or asset management (Big 4 or public accounting background welcome) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track a plus Familiarity with management company accounting concepts, including fee structures and compensation accounting, is a plus Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach Haley Rizzo specializes in partnering with audit and finance professionals at leading organizations nationwide.
