Job DescriptionJob DescriptionProduction Engineer - Chemical Manufacturing - Continuous Process West Bank, south of Baton Rouge, LA | Full-time, onsiteTargeting $110,000-$135,000 base, depending on experienceAbout the opportunity We're partnered with a growing global specialty chemical manufacturer to hire a Production Engineer at its Louisiana plant. You'll own the technical side of a polymer production unit, with real ownership, visibility, and room to grow.What you'll doTake ownership of how your unit runs, from safety and quality to reliability and costLead process safety work, including MOCs, hazard reviews, and incident investigationsDig into operating data to solve process and equipment problems at the rootPartner with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality on improvement projectsBuild procedures and training, and help develop newer engineersWhat we're looking forMust Have: Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (required).4+ years of production experienceSeveral years of hands-on experience in a chemical, polymer, or continuous process manufacturing plantFamiliarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) programsStrong troubleshooting skills and a practical, mechanical mindsetComfortable working across teams on the plant floorNice to haveDCS and SAP experienceLean or Six Sigma backgroundBenefits Medical, dental, and vision; 401(k); paid time off; tuition reimbursement; and ongoing training and development.\nCompany DescriptionJobsMight is committed to reshaping the recruitment landscape.
