Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLocation: Remote — U.S. Eastern Time Zone Hours Experience: Minimum 5 Years Industry: Steel FabricationWe are seeking an experienced Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Detailer to join our team in a remote employment position. The ideal candidate produces accurate, complete fabrication and erection drawings, communicates clearly, and manages multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare shop and erection drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel, including framing, stairs, handrails, ladders, and other steel components.Develop and maintain accurate steel models using Tekla or other detailing software.Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.Identify missing information and drawing discrepancies, and prepare requests for information (RFIs).Ensure detailing work follows applicable AISC standards, project specifications, and fabricator requirements.Coordinate with checkers and project teams to incorporate markups, revisions, and approved changes.Prepare material lists and fabrication information as required.Communicate daily with project teams by phone and email during the hours of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time.Manage multiple projects while meeting established deadlines.QualificationsMinimum of five years of structural and miscellaneous steel detailing experience.Proficiency in Tekla strongly preferred.Thorough knowledge of steel fabrication, erection processes, and AISC detailing practices.Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and specifications.Experience with PDF markup tools, preferably Bluebeam.Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.What We OfferRemote employment with working hours aligned to U.S. Eastern Time.Opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic, experienced team.Competitive compensation based on experience.How to ApplyPlease submit your résumé and a brief summary of your steel detailing experience, software proficiency, and availability.
