About the role

Join South Learning Center in Lake Spring, Missouri, and help children build skills, confidence, and healthy routines in a safe, supportive environment. This onsite teaching role supports Lead Teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities for children ranging from 6 weeks through 12 years old. You will encourage developmental milestones, communicate with families at arrival and pickup, and assist with daily care, classroom cleaning, and supply preparation. The ideal candidate brings patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in early childhood development. You must be comfortable supporting diapering and toilet training, managing busy classroom transitions, and maintaining required child-to-staff ratios. What you'll do

• Support Lead Teachers with age-appropriate lessons, play, and developmental activities.
• Maintain a safe, healthy classroom and comply with licensing and accreditation standards.
• Welcome families and share relevant updates during drop-off and pickup.
• Assist with feeding routines, diapering, toilet training, and other daily care needs.
• Clean classroom surfaces and toys, handle laundry, and restock supplies.
• Monitor supervision needs and maintain state-mandated child-to-staff ratios.

What you'll bring

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have at least 6 accredited college credit hours, a current CDA credential, or obtain and maintain an approved MOA educational waiver before working independently in staffing ratios.
• Early childhood education coursework and 1 to 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organization, planning, and time management skills during busy transitions.
• Complete required health screening, annual TB testing, initial Tdap immunization, and annual Family Care Safety Registry clearance.
• Obtain Heartsaver Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within 30 days of hire.
