Senior Data Scientist - TS/SCI with Polygraph

About the role

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support mission-critical programs onsite at a customer location in Chantilly, Virginia. In this role, you will turn complex data into actionable insights while evaluating artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities for integration into the customer's environment. Your work will span cloud-based systems, multimedia forensics, and current deepfake creation and detection techniques. You will collaborate with technical teams to integrate commercial technologies, document solutions, and support systems that collect and process publicly available information. This position requires extensive experience, US citizenship, and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. What you'll do

• Evaluate AI and machine learning capabilities for customer mission needs.
• Integrate, coordinate, and document new commercial off-the-shelf capabilities.
• Develop and support systems using cloud services and infrastructure.
• Conduct multimedia forensics involving images, video, and audio.
• Assess deepfake creation and detection methods.
• Support lifecycle processes for collecting and processing publicly available information.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and 15+ years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship and TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Demonstrated experience with systems engineering, commercial technology integration, and AI/ML evaluation.
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-based systems; AWS and Linux experience preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in multimedia forensics and current deepfake creation and detection methods.
• Ability to work onsite in Chantilly, Virginia; project management and customer environment experience preferred.
